Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with our curated AAPI bundle.
This Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, HelloFresh is proud to spotlight the rich culinary traditions and innovative spirit of the AAPI community. In collaboration with our Asians Mobilizing for Progress (AMP) Employee Resource Group (ERG), we’ve curated a special bundle featuring products made by some of our favorite brands from across Asia and the AAPI diaspora.
From Nguyen Coffee Supply, the first specialty Vietnamese coffee company roasting in Brooklyn, to Fly By Jing’s Sichuan condiments redefining Chinese food culture in America, each of these AAPI-founded brands has a powerful story—and flavor—that we’re proud to spotlight.
Nguyen Coffee Supply: Coconut Cold Brew
Founded by Sahra Nguyen, a first-generation Vietnamese American and daughter of refugees, Nguyen Coffee Supply is the first specialty Vietnamese coffee company in the U.S. to import directly from Vietnam and roast in Brooklyn. The company focuses on elevating the robusta bean and increasing transparency within the coffee industry. Their Coconut Cold Brew combines strong Vietnamese Robusta beans with smooth coconut milk, inspired by the traditional Vietnamese drink cà phê dừa.
Kolkata Chai Co.: Signature Masala Chai Mix
Kolkata Chai Co. was established by brothers Ani and Ayan Sanyal, first-generation Indian Americans, to preserve and promote the authentic flavors of chai as it’s served in Indian homes and on the streets of Kolkata. Based in New York City, their café and product line highlight traditional spice blends and methods. Their Signature Masala Chai Mix blends 100% organic Assam black tea with whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves.
Omsom: Soy Garlic Saucy Noodles
Sisters Vanessa and Kim Pham, daughters of Vietnamese refugees, founded Omsom to reclaim and celebrate the complexity of Asian flavors that are often diluted in Western markets. The company offers pantry shortcuts that allow home cooks to prepare authentic dishes without compromise. Their Soy Garlic Saucy Noodles feature air-dried, never-fried noodles paired with a savory soy and garlic sauce, delivering deep umami flavors in just four minutes.
Fly By Jing: Sichuan Chili Crisp & Chengdu Crunch
Fly By Jing was founded by Jing Gao to share the bold, nuanced flavors of her hometown, Chengdu. After years of working in food media and restaurants, she launched the brand to reconnect with her heritage and introduce Sichuan flavors to a global audience. Their Sichuan Chili Crisp is a spicy, crispy, and savory condiment. Described as “a magical crunch in a jar,” the Chengdu Crunch adds an extra layer of texture with its blend of crunchy bits suspended in flavorful chili oil. Both are small batch crafted in Chengdu, Sichuan and are vegan and free from artificial additives.
Pocky: Matcha Biscuit Sticks
Pocky is a Japanese snack brand created by Ezaki Glico in 1966. Its name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia pokkin, referencing the sound made when biting into the crisp biscuit sticks. The Matcha Biscuit Sticks combine a biscuit base with a creamy coating made from finely ground matcha green tea, balancing sweet and slightly bitter flavors that reflect Japan’s tea culture.
Sanzo: Lychee & Yuzu Sparkling Water
Sanzo was founded by Filipino American entrepreneur Sandro Roco to introduce Asian flavors to the U.S. sparkling water market. Inspired by the lack of representation of Asian fruits in beverage aisles, he created Sanzo to highlight flavors like lychee and yuzu using real fruit and no added sugars. The Lychee flavor offers a floral and slightly sweet taste, while the Yuzu with Ginger pairs the bright, citrusy notes of Japanese yuzu with the warmth of natural ginger extract.
By featuring these exceptional products, HelloFresh aims to celebrate the diverse culinary heritage of the AAPI community and support the entrepreneurs who bring these flavors to our tables. We invite you to explore and enjoy the tastes and stories behind each item in our AAPI Heritage Month Bundle.
